About the program
Our flexible beginner course is a perfect start in your journey to master the art of dance. With beginners’ groups, we heavily focus on footwork, dancing to music and learning simple and elegant patterns with a partner.
Dancing alone and especially with a partner involve so many layers, such as keeping the rhythm, leading/following your partner correctly, remembering and putting moves together, looking elegant, smiling, and enjoying it at the same time :)
Like learning anything else – it takes time and practice. Alina and Abel, the founders of Dublin Salsa Academy, have worked for the past 5 years on their complete teaching structure. Their teaching style and material have been tested and proved to be successful. (Just check our Google reviews to see for yourself)
Therefore, this course first focuses on your initial building blocks - feet, music, and independent moves. Secondly, we will progress into learning leading techniques.
You will acquire the following key skills:
- Basic and Advanced footwork steps
- Ability to decorate your basics with fancy steps and moves
- Musicality
- Dancing on time with the music
- Foundation steps and moves for further levels
- Introduction to leading and following
- Easy and elegant patterns with a partner
Once you complete this course you will be ready to free your mind from stepping and become more agile to understand and learn dancing with a partner.
